(W2) developed the ict active assessment
criteria and is responsible for
conducting the assessment surveys. They
are a full service IT and Telecoms provider
who
focus on SME and multi-tenanted buildings.
Based in the CIQ district of Sheffield,
W2 has been running for eight years and now
counts over 400 businesses as its end user
clients. As well as offering IT support
and
installation W2 also offer consultancy,
specification and design services.
Yorkshire
Forward has provided financial backing for
ict active through Business Link South Yorkshire.
Set
up by the Government, Yorkshire Forward is
the Regional Development Agency charged
with improving the Yorkshire and Humber economy.
By promoting sustainable economic development
throughout the Yorkshire and Humber region,
Yorkshire Forward aims to help improve the
region’s economic performance and reduce
social and economic disparities.
Business
Link South Yorkshire is overseeing the running
of ict active and sourcing financial
backing for the project. Business Link
South Yorkshire aims to make South Yorkshire
the
best place in the UK to start and grow
a business. Business Link works with both with
new and existing businesses, and offers
free
business guidance and a full range of business
support services.

is part of the Business Link national support
network
and
is governed by the Regional Development
Agency, Yorkshire Forward.
