Persistance WorksPersistence Works is a purpose built space in the centre of Sheffield for artists and craftspeople.

Persistence Works opened in October 2001 with 100 per cent occupancy. It is the UK's first purpose built studio complex for artists and craftspeople and it is owned by Yorkshire ArtSpace. The building provides studio space for sixty eight practicing artists and craftspeople as well as exhibition and project spaces, an education space, offices and a meeting room.

There is 24/7 access to the property via swipe card and security systems are available in both the offices and the general access areas. The contract terms vary and are negotiable and ICT facilities are available from day one.

There is copper Cat5e cabling throughout the property and it is possible to run speeds of up to 100Mbits through it. A managed internet connection up to 100Mbits is provided via dual laser connections and free public wireless access is provided. There is a range of internet packages available to tenants and a number of different internet-based services can be run over the connection. On-site technical support is available by arrangement.
