Kroto Innovation CentreA business incubator designed to support technology-based early stage companies.

Kroto Innovation Centre is property owned by the University of Sheffield, it is a business incubator aimed at technology start-up companies. The early stage companies are housed at the heart of the campus, in the Nanoscience & Technology building, near Sheffield city centre.

There is 24/7 access to the whole building via swipecards there are alarms throughout the property. Contract terms for workspace are negotiable as is the lead time for moving in. ICT facilities are available from day one making it ideal for start-up companies.

Throughout the Centre there is a mix of copper and fibre Cat5 cabling capable of speeds of 100Mbits. There is 10Mbits managed leased line internet available and they are planning to install a back-up connection. There is a range of connectivity packages provided and it is possible to run VPN and internet based services over the line. There is wide ranging telephony system including conference call facilities. Onsite technical support is available via appointment through the university.
