The Megacentre is an initiative of Hope City Church which in addition to being a place of worship offers a nursery, kids play facility, adult education centre, ICT systems and a conference centre. The Building is a former tooling company and is located next to the Sheffield Parkway. The Megacentre’s facilities are available to any members of the public who want to book them.
There are security systems in place for the whole property and access is provided via a sign in book at reception. The ICT facilities are already fully set up and can be accessed by booking usage with the reception.
There is a mix of copper and fibre Cat5 cabling throughout the designated IT and comms area which could support speeds of up to 100Mbits. There is 10Mbits leased line internet available via laser. A back up connection is planned and there is a public wireless facility available. It is possible to run VPN services over the line and there is a ICT manager on site to offer permanent ICT support.
