The Sheffield Bioincubator was designed as home for a developing community of bioscience entrepreneurs in South Yorkshire. It is near Sheffield city centre and has state-of-the art facilities.
Flexible tenancy agreements enable a range of businesses to grow within the Bioincubator and to move on as they develop. For pre-incubation start-ups virtual membership of the Sheffield Bioincubator allows access to their meeting rooms and a number of networking events. The contract terms are negotiable and ICT facilities are available from day one. There is swipe-card entry and CCTV at the entrance as well as other security facilities in the offices and communal areas.
The Bioincubator has Cat5e copper and fibre cabling which allows data throughput speeds of 100Mbits. Internet is run through a 10Mbps managed leased line and back-up internet facilities are planned. VPN and static IP address are available on this connection. A range of internet connectivity services are provided and it is possible to change between them. There is public wireless access for free and ICT support is provided over the phone.
