Position: Investment Manager at Creative Sheffield
What does your job involve? Creativesheffield was set up in April 2007
to drive forward the economic transformation of the city
and my role involves working to support businesses in the
Creative and Digital Industries. We can offer companies assistance
in relation to: finding the right premises, accessing financial
assistance, support for recruitment and training. We are
there to do all we can to give companies what they need to
grow.
Why is Sheffield a good location
for business? Independent assessments
rank Sheffield highly as a cost competitive
location for businesses in terms of property
and people resources. There is an excellent
supply of grade A office space for businesses
who want to set up here. We can also offer
quality living environments with a vibrant
city centre and the nearby Peak District
What do you think the benefits
of ict active will be? We deal with a lot
of companies who have specific requirements
in terms of digital infrastructure. It
is often hard to find what they want in
terms of workspaces with the right digital
specification. ict active would be incredibly
useful to them. I hope it will be something
people are interested in. It could lead
to new developments being built with infrastructure
in mind.
